I’m not a finance insider. I’m someone who treats money and risks like the real-world challenges they are.

I’ve done overseas security work in four war and conflict zones, from Afghanistan to Africa, Ukraine, and Haiti. I’ve sailed through the Straits of Hormuz and Malacca, boarded ships in the Persian Gulf, lived in Qatar building natural gas plants, and played rugby for Yokohama when I lived in Japan.

The Letters began as emails to close friends. Writing helped me think clearly and retain what I was learning, and over time it became a monthly practice: a record of decisions, lessons, and mistakes, written for people who want clarity without hype.
